Mr Topps studied medicine at Cambridge University and University College London. His extensive surgical training took place in London, the South West of England and Manchester. This included a fellowship at the Nightingale Centre, one of the most prestigious breast units in the country, where he learnt from leading surgeons. He has been awarded a Master of Surgery degree in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery – Europe’s highest qualification for oncoplastic surgeons.
After completing his 17 years of training in 2016 he was immediately appointed as Consultant Breast and Oncoplastic Surgeon at the East Lancashire Hospitals NHS trust where he worked until 2020 before moving exclusively into private practice. This included time as the clinical effectiveness lead for General and Breast Surgery where he was responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of care were delivered based on the best evidence.
Mr Topps is actively involved in training the next generation of surgeons and is a General Medical Council recognised trainer. He holds a postgraduate certificate in medical education and is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Lancaster Medical School. He was previously the expert breast tutor for the University of Central Lancashire Medical School and has lectured on both the University of Salford Advanced Medical Imaging Programme and the North West School of Surgery Higher Surgical Training Programme.
He has written multiple peer-reviewed publications in breast surgery and has presented his work nationally and internationally. He has been invited onto multiple journal editorial boards to share his expertise.

Mr Petros Yiannoullou
Consultant Breast and Oncoplastic Surgeon

Mr Yiannoullou studied medicine at University College London and received surgical training in London, Manchester and Merseyside. In 2020, he was appointed to one of the prestigious National Advanced Training Fellowships in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery where he received high volume specialist training in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery.
Mr Yiannoullou exclusively practises breast surgery, focusing on cosmetic and oncoplastic procedures. He is a Consultant Breast and Oncoplastic Surgeon at St Helens and Knowsley NHS Trust, a specialist centre for complex reconstructive breast surgery. Prior to this he was a Consultant Oncoplastic Surgeon at Manchester Foundation Trust where he led the development of the oncoplastic multi-disciplinary team at North Manchester General Hospital.
He has completed postgraduate research at the University of Manchester and has published his work in the medical literature. The findings of his research have been presented at national and international meetings. He is a surgical trainer for Health Education North-West and an examiner for the University of Manchester Medical School.
